What's your favourite track and field memory? The one moment that makes the hairs on your neck stand on end when you think back on it?

Maybe it was meeting your idol and discovering that they were everything you hoped they would be. Perhaps it was a special event that you can still see when you close your eyes. Maybe it was something more personal. Sometimes it's not about what you are watching, but who you are watching it with. Maybe the event you most remember is one you competed in yourself.

To receive the gold medal, in Scotland, in front of my home supporters, with that atmosphere was the absolute pinnacle of my career. The feelings I had that night were amazing and were never really replicated throughout the rest of my career. I never had that astounding support and atmosphere in any other race I subsequently ran. In some ways it was the beginning of the end because nothing ever really live up to that moment again.” Liz McColgan

We are looking for people who like to talk about sport.

By volunteering to join one of our local Sports Reminiscence groups, you can improve the lives of older people by helping them talk about the sports and the players of their past. We'll train you to plan and lead these discussions. You'll make a big difference and have a lot of fun.
